Our club covers Knowle, Dorridge, Bentley Heath, Chadwick End and Hockley Heath. We are a group of volunteers who run local events such as the Knowle Fun Run, the Festive Walk and the Heart of England Bike Ride. We welcome all genders. We raise money for charity but we also serve the community undertaking activities such as litter picking and Vaccination Centre support. We rely on members giving up their time to plan, run and participate in events. Many of our members are active and participate in the events but we also welcome members who have limited mobility and can contribute from home. We are well supported by local businesses. As a club, we have a Club social calendar for events such as quizzes, meals out and "competitive" activities. If you are considering doing any of these things, why not join us?

Dorridge Cricket Club 2025
Thank you to Dorridge Cricket Club for inviting us to the unveiling of their special donor board on the wall of the new common room.
We are keen to support the Dorridge Cricket Club as they do a great deal of work with young local cricketers.
Thanks to all those that contribute to our fund raising events we were able to support DCC with this new facility.
Blanning Dementia Care 2025
The Lions contributed just over £4000 to a projection system at Blannings Day Care Centre in early 2025. The equipment projects moving images onto a tabletop or the floor which results in interactive games that can be played by touch. Good hand-eye coordination is required. It is very chaotic but great fun!
Festive Walk 2024
This was a great success this year with many people joining us. As a result, we raised over £3000 for local causes!
GREAT DAY OUT IN BATH!
The seniors coach trip to Bath was on 17th September 2024. This year, there were four coaches and nearly 180 passengers. The weather was sunny and it was a great day out!
SUPPORTING LOCAL SCHOOLS
The young lady in the enclosed photos is Alice Bragg, aged 7*. Alice attends Dorridge Primary School and is a wheelchair user. Also in the photos is staff member Ruth Taylor. Present, but not in the photos was Robyn Morrey in her role as Inclusion Manager for the school.
The photos show Alice at an accessible table funded by Knowle and Dorridge Lions and presented to Dorridge School. The table allows Alice or any other wheelchair user to mix with friends and classmates during break and lunchtimes. Alice is a bright and enthusiastic young lady and all hope that the table will enhance her time at school.
