Membership

Currently there are 28 Lions in our club. Inevitably from time to time our members move away or have to leave us for other reasons, so it is vital that we attract new members

As well as our monthly Business meeting held at the Greswolde Hotel on the 3rd Monday each month, our club is structured with the senior club officers having regular Directors meetings; a Community Services committee determining how and where our money is spent; a Fundraising committee overseeing separate groups which ensure our fundraising events are organised as professionally as possible; and an Admin committee overseeing Finance, Membership and Socials groups. In order to achieve our full programme each Lion is asked to contribute to at least one committee

Most common misconceptions

• We are an all male bastian  – WRONG –  We welcome female members, with or without a partner
• You have to wait to be invited to find out about what is involved - WRONG – Get in touch now
• I cannot afford the time – WRONG – You put in as much as you like, but as they say the more you put in the more you will get out. Sometimes skills are more valuable than time. Every Lion does not have to do everything we do
