2011 – Kenilworth step back to the top

February 28th saw 21 teams of Lions from all over 105M assemble at the Strawberry Bank Hotel, Meriden for the annual Lions District MasterTeam Quiz

The evening took on predictable form with good humour and a congenial atmosphere. Steve Worrell, Knowle and Dorridge Lions Club quizmaster set his usual mix of challenging questions, with the winning team from Kenilworth Lions failing to correctly answer only 8 questions out of 96

Marston Green took home the Runners up trophy yet again and this year a booby prize was awarded to Rugby Rokeby club for a spirited performance

The raffle raised £168 which Knowle and Dorridge Lions will make up to pay for an Eye Camp as per tradition

2010 – Acocks Green make it two in a row

It seems this year’s District 105M MasterTeam quiz was a re-run of last year with the Acocks Green Lions Club team of ‘Terry & Terry’s Marriage Guidance’ beating Marston Green & District Lions Club the ‘Errant Gnomes’ and Kenilworth Lions ‘Kenilworthians’, who needed a tie break to eventually determine the Gnomes should receive the second place trophy

This year 24 teams competed for the MasterTeam trophy. During the evening a raffle held raised over £180, which as tradition dictates Knowle and Dorridge Lions will make up to fund a Lions Sight Savers Eye Camp
