Lions Clubs support Fastaid

We are delighted to have provided a set of 23 new reflective all-weather jackets for Solihull’s dedicated Community First Responders – Fastaid

“With funds raised at the 2016 Knowle Fun Run Knowle and Dorridge Lions joined with Solihull Lions to provide FastAid with the latest BS Standard all-weather high visibility jackets to enable their volunteers to carry out their life saving work more safely with the best possible equipment,” says Chris Kiddle Morris, Chair of Knowle and Dorridge Lions Community Services Committee. “It is particularly pleasing when the Lions family can come together to support another organisation equally dedicated to supporting the local community”

“Fastaid were on hand again providing Medical Cover for the 34th Knowle Fun Run on 21 May,” said Mark Atherton. “Runners and spectators on the school field had access to their first aid tent and in addition there were two response vehicles stationed around the course to provide aid should it be required. There were six responders available plus a further two who were on call with the ambulance service to provide a further level of response. Fastaid Community First Responders are extremely pleased to be associated with both Knowle & Dorridge and Solihull Lions clubs and as such were very grateful for their donation to purchase new reflective jackets for 23 members of Fastaid.
