Bikeathon III in aid of Leukaemia Research
Packwood NT House, Solihull/Warwickshire border
(5 mins from junction 4 M42)
from 9.00am Sunday 13th July 2008
It’s a big THANK YOU to all those who took part in our first two Bikeathons & raised over £25,000 to help fund lifesaving leukaemia research.
We hope you will join us for our third Bikeathon and help us do even better this year.
There is a choice of 3 circular signposted routes of around 10, 17 or 28 miles along quiet country lanes, passing through picturesque country villages and local country pubs.
All riders will receive a FREE Leukaemia Research T-shirt and a medal & certificate of achievement on the day.
All routes start and end at Packwood NT House where there will be a B-B-Q and you can enjoy a picnic.
They all pass the drive to Baddesley Clinton NT House where there is a '2 mile optional add-on' if you would like to visit the House or gardens on that day.
The National Trust is offering free entry to the grounds & 2 for 1 entry to either House for all cyclists. Pick up your voucher when you register on the day.
You must enter in advance via The Leukaemia Research site.
A sponsorship form, route map and more details will be posted to you. All we ask you to do is raise sponsorship for this very worthy cause.
Win a Dawes Bike Our generous sponsors Dawes Cycles will also be providing us with adult racing bikes & children's cycles which can be won by being the adult, junior boy or junior girl who raises the most funds.
Wheel or Heel – yes once again this year, as an alternative to our Bikeathon we have a Stroll in aid of Diabetes UK, on the same day also from Packwood House. Interested?

We are indebted to our marshals (the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Youth), the Red Cross and National Trust for their help and to Halesowen Cycles who will provide mechanical help and advice throughout the day.
Packwood House
Packwood House is a 16th Century house about 7 miles North-West of Warwick. Packwood House is 2 miles from Baddesley Clinton Manor House. Both houses are owned by the National Trust, and you can buy a combined ticket for entry to both houses. Packwood House was home of the Featherstone family from 1598 to 1869. It was bought by Mr Alfred Ash, and subsequently given to The National Trust in 1941, by his son, Graham Baron Ash.
Leukaemia Research
Leukaemia Research was established in 1960 and is still the only national research charity devoted exclusively to leukaemia, the lymphomas, myeloma, aplastic anaemia, myelodysplasia, the myeloproliferative disorders and the related blood disorders in both children and adults.
