(5 mins from junction 4 M42)

From 9.00am Sunday 12th July 2009

We hope you will join us for our Walk the EXTRA mile and raise valuable funds for local diabetes projects, and other local causes.

There will be a choice of 3 signposted circular routes of 2, 5 or 8 miles along footpaths, towpaths and country lanes, passing by local country pubs.  All strolls will start and end at Packwood NT House where there will be a Bar-B-Que and you can picnic. The longer routes will also pass Baddesley Clinton NT House

Entry is FREE but you must register in advance to receive a FREE Diabetes UK medal and certificate upon completion of your walk. All we ask you to do is raise sponsorship for these very worthy causes, or at least make a donation. 20% retained for local causes

To register visit www.diabetes.org.uk and then download your sponsorship form here.

Packwood House

Where is Packwood NT House?

Packwood HousePackwood House is a 16th Century house about 7 miles North-West of Warwick. Packwood House is 2 miles from Baddesley Clinton Manor House. Both houses are owned by the National Trust, and you can buy a combined ticket for entry to both houses. Packwood House was home of the Featherstone family from 1598 to 1869. It was bought by Mr Alfred Ash, and subsequently given to The National Trust in 1941, by his son, Graham Baron Ash.

Diabetes UKWalk the EXTRA mile is a fun way to introduce gentle exercise into your daily lifestyle whilst successfully raising vital funds for diabetes research. This year, there are over 100 walks organised across the UK.
