Fundraising Events

Our Club has developed a full programme of fundraising events designed to encourage residents far and wide to get fit and raise funds for charity.

The Lions Festive Walks based on Baddesley Clinton National Trust House started in 1993 and have raised well over £90,000 for charity. Each year we develop new signposted routes and feature a variety of local country pubs.

Our 2 Easter Egg raffles at the Black Boy and the Drum & Monkey have also been going for over 30 years. Pop in for a drink or a bite to eat, and see us for your tickets to win a basket selection of Thornton’s eggs.

Arguably Solihull’s best community fundraising event the Knowle Fun Run goes from strength to strength with the limit on entries being pushed up every year. Enter online from 1 January.

In July we offer the chance to walk or cycle with our Summer Walk and Bike Ride on the same day, both from Baddesley Clinton National Trust House. Having started in 2001 and 2006, these ‘new’ events have both have proved a great attraction raising funds.

Throughout the Summer we can be found at various events. For the Queens Diamond Jubilee find us in Knowle Park for the Knockout Knowle event on 2 June and in the High Street for Knowle Fayre on 4 June.  In September we shall be at Dorridge Day as usual giving everyone the opportunity to win one of our quality footballs by playing ‘Ball in the Bogs’
