Fundraising Events
Our Club has developed a full programme of fundraising designed to encourage residents far and wide to get fit and raise funds for charity.
The Lions Festive Walks based on Baddesley Clinton National Trust House started in 1993 and have raised well over £60,000 for charity. Each year we develop new signposted routes and feature a variety of local country pubs.
Our 2 Easter Egg raffles at the Black Boy and the Drum & Monkey have also been going for over 25 years. Pop in for a drink or a bite to eat, and see us for your tickets to win a basket selection of Thornton’s eggs.
Arguably Solihull’s best community fundraising event the Knowle Fun Run goes from strength to strength with the limit on entries being pushed up every year. Enter online from 1 January.
In July we offer the chance to walk or cycle with our Summer Stroll and Bikeathon on the same day, both from Packwood National Trust House. Having started in 2001 and 2006, the new events have both have proved a great attraction raising funds for Diabetes UK and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research respectively.
We hope to meet you at our next event or if you would like to marshal or to help generally, please get in touch now.
