We have 3 major events that form the main core of our fundraising.  However the Covid Pandemic has had a significant impact on these with this year’s Fun Run and Heart of England Bike Ride both cancelled and even the Festive Walk at Christmas will not be taking place.  As our plans develop we will keep you updated.

Knowle Fun Run  Heart of England Bike Ride Lions Festive Walk
Having raised over £0.8m for charity in its first 35 years our Fun Run continues to go from strength to strength. Held at Arden Academy on the 3rd Sunday in May each year this 5 mile 2 lap Fun Run has proved a popular event. Registration opens on-line on the 1 January each year. Click on the events link for further details. Now in its 14th year offering a choice of signposted circular rides for all ages and abilities of up to 50 miles through the Warwickshire countryside, this event held in July, starts from Packwood National Trust House. Further details available on the events link. We are hoping to hold this again over the Christmas period later this year so watch our for more details.  This will not be at the local National Trust property but somewhere local.

In addition to our main events we also have some smaller events that are just as important to us: Easter Egg raffles – held exclusively at the Black Boy, tickets are sold over a two week period with the prize being a luxury basket Easter eggs and other chocolate goodies.  We are hoping that this can take place again in 2022.

We were not able to have our popular “Ball in the bog” game at Dorridge Day this September but we hope to be back with that in 2022.  We can also be seen on Knowle High Street during our annual Spring tin shake.
